For the love
Jo Knows Food was spurred on by a love of cooking for my family. It started as a hobby and now I have taken the leap as my main business. I love what I do and I love making people happy with my food.
I started cooking at a young age, mainly baking with my nan. That is when I discovered a love for cooking. My passion for cooking has always been with me and I eventually trained at college however never pursued my dream.
Cooking for my family and friends has always been my favourite thing to do. When I started Jo Knows Food my original platters consisted of my kids favourite foods. West Indian, African and Asian dishes. I have kept with this fusion of dishes as they are our favourites. I do however want to extend my experience to different cuisines.
I launched Jo Knows Food just before the pandemic and I didn’t think it would take off, but I was wrong and I managed to give up my job to do what I love full time. I now have the investment of Forbes Family Group which is invaluable and means I can do so much more than I thought possible. I am truly grateful and so glad I took the leap.
